Türkiye announced Trump's plan to seek partial lifting of sanctions on Russia
Turkish analyst Engin Ozer said Donald Trump, who won the US presidential election, will ask Congress and Europe to partially lift sanctions on Russia. RIA Novosti writes about this.
According to him, this is one of the points in his plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
“Since Trump's peace plan will be based on a ceasefire and a freeze in conflict, it seems unlikely to completely lift sanctions against Russia,” he explained.
This expert admitted that sanctions could be lifted in areas that directly affect the lives of Russians. According to him, it is possible to open European airspace for Russian aircraft, resume direct flights to the Russian Federation, and cancel restrictions on the SWIFT banking system.
Trump has previously said he is not a supporter of sanctions against Russia.
