The US State Department accused North Korea of having no evidence of participating in the battle with the Ukrainian Armed Forces
US State Department head Antony Blinken said that North Korean soldiers had “actually” participated in battles with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. RIA Novosti reports this in connection with Blinken's speech in Brussels.
Previously, information appeared in the media about sending North Korean soldiers to Russia. The Kremlin did not confirm this information. North Korea's United Nations representative called the reports “baseless rumors” aimed at tarnishing North Korea's image and weakening its cooperation with Russia.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said on October 23 that US authorities have evidence of North Korea sending troops to Russia. Austin noted that the purpose of North Korea's military deployment remains unclear.
“The North Korean military… is now literally engaged in combat, which requires and will receive a strong response,” Blinken said on November 13.
The US Secretary of State did not provide any other details. He also did not say how this information was confirmed.
