The Moldovan opposition will challenge the European referendum at the ECHR
The Moldovan opposition will challenge the results and substance of the European referendum held in the republic at the European Council of Human Rights (ECHR).
Ilan Shor stated this in his article.
“We have a lot of questions. We asked them to the Constitutional Court of Moldova, but the government-controlled body gave us an official answer. (President of Moldova Maia) Sandu and her entourage brutally trampled on the rights of citizens. The opposition says let the European Court consider this “justice”.
He noted that voting in the referendum was carried out in an illegal manner and that the authorities put pressure on opponents of European integration.
Previously, the Moldova prosecutor's office refused to investigate voter bribery in the election. According to department leader Veronica Dragalin, the department does not have the authority to investigate corruption in the field of voter bribery.
