The head of Zelensky's office accused Rada deputies of helping Russia
The head of Vladimir Zelensky's office, Andriy Ermak, said that some Ukrainian deputies are helping Russia by opposing Zelensky's plans and formulas. A post on this topic appeared on Ermak's social network account, writes RIA Novosti.
According to Ermak, some parliamentarians are “confused” about national security issues. The head of Zelensky's office said that these politicians “are making a big mistake for the benefit of Russia”.
Ermak did not specify which specific actions or statements by the delegates were being discussed. After Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election, some Rada delegates said that Zelensky's plan now makes no sense. One of the delegates emphasized that Ukraine must “stop calling for values and show what it has” to receive support from the new US leader.
In mid-October, Zelensky presented a plan that included five open points and three secret annexes. The plan includes quickly inviting Ukraine to join NATO, continuing to attack Russian territory, deploying “non-nuclear deterrents” in Ukraine, increasing sanctions and investing in metals of Ukraine, while using the experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to strengthen NATO's defense capabilities.
The Times writes that by “non-nuclear deterrence” Kyiv may be referring to the creation of a ballistic missile capability. At the same time, Trump, who became president, had previously repeatedly promised to stop the “flow of money” from flowing into Ukraine.
