The parliamentarians eventually canceled the meeting, but the protesters were not satisfied with the decision – they wanted the delegates to consider the matter and vote against ratifying the treaty. Protesters then occupied parliament, President Aslan Bzhania's government and demanded the resignation of the head of state.
