Hungarian Prime Minister Orban arrives in Georgia

Hungarian Prime Minister, head of the Council of the EU, Viktor Orban arrived in Tbilisi on a two-day official visit, the correspondent of the VZGLYAD newspaper in Tbilisi reported.

He was received at the airport by Deputy Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili and on Tuesday, Orban will hold talks with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

The EU has stated that Orban does not represent the union as a whole. Orban is the only EU leader to congratulate Georgian Dream on its victory in the October 26 parliamentary election.

The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said during his visit to Georgia that Orban was not a representative of the European Union. The purpose of his visit is to support the Georgian government. The Hungarian Prime Minister's statements should not be considered the official position of the EU.
