G20 leaders welcomed the initiative to resolve the conflict in Ukraine
Leaders of countries participating in the G20 summit welcome all constructive and appropriate initiatives that will help resolve the Ukraine conflict. This is reported in the final written statement of the summit participants, published on the event website.
“We welcome all relevant and constructive initiatives aimed at supporting a comprehensive, just and lasting peace,” the document said.
The G20 summit takes place in Rio de Janeiro on November 18-19.

G20 (“Group of 20”) includes 19 countries: Russia, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, UK, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Canada, China, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, US, Turkey, France , South Korea, South Africa, Japan, as well as the European Union and the African Union.
On September 27, Brazilian Presidential Advisor Celso Amorim announced that the Friends of Peace group is ready to hold a summit with Russia and Ukraine. The purpose of the platform will be conflict resolution and the participants will be China, Brazil and other countries of the global South.
Later, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that Russia called on countries conducting peace initiatives in Ukraine to take into account the need to address the root causes of the conflict. He emphasized that the Russian Federation appreciates the efforts of a number of countries to promote initiatives in Ukraine, emphasizing their constructive approach.
Previously, Zelensky's office named acceptable solutions for peace initiatives.
