Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze proposed that the European Union (EU) will open negotiations on the country joining the community in 2025. writes about this.
“Next year, with high probability, negotiations will open, especially since before that, the war in Ukraine will probably also end,” Kobakhidze explained.
He also called the EU's statements about the possibility of abolishing the visa-free regime between Georgia and the European Union fictional.
“I am sure that no concrete steps will be taken in this direction, even due to the fact that such tools have completely lost their effectiveness,” Kobakhidze emphasized.
In October, the European Commission announced the suspension of negotiations on Georgia's accession to the European Union and called on the republic to implement comprehensive electoral reform. The European Commission is unhappy that a party that favors relations with Moscow won the parliamentary election in Georgia.
