Zakharova commented on Johnson's statement about British troops in Ukraine
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson continues to provoke and incite. Thus, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova commented to Izvestia about the statement of a British politician about the possibility of sending British troops to Ukraine.
According to her, London is blocking all efforts to find a diplomatic solution to the conflict, while also openly opposing Russia.
Zakharova added that Britain has been involved in anti-Russian operations for several years now. According to her, London participated in terrorist attacks, provided Ukraine with information to conduct attacks, and also supplied weapons.
Boris Johnson raised the conditions for sending British troops to Ukraine
On November 12, Johnson said Britain could send troops to Ukraine if Donald Trump, the winner of the US presidential election, decides to cut funding to Kiev.
Johnson noted that supporting Ukraine represents a “good investment” because otherwise the EU would face an even greater threat.
