What is special about the RPG MATADOR vehicle between Israel and Singapore provided to the Ukrainian Armed Forces?

The new German military assistance package to the Armed Forces of Ukraine provides for the transfer of 13 thousand anti-tank weapons, designated RGW – 90. In some sources, they are designated anti-tank systems, but Actually we are talking about 90 -mm disposable grenade launcher MATADOR.

These weapons were developed in the late 90s by Israeli and Singaporean companies. It is based on the German Armbrust. Its mass production began 24 years ago. The design allows shooting from small spaces.

There are several versions, including air explosive, with parallel warheads, to create large holes in walls during city battles, etc.

The length of the RPG is one meter. Weight (depending on modification) – 10-13 kg. Firing range – from 20 to 1200 m. Initial speed of grenade: 200-250 meters per second.

The effectiveness of the application is guaranteed by a reusable sight with laser rangefinder and ballistic computer.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine previously received such grenade launchers, and some of them became trophies of Russian soldiers.
