The Russian government strictly adheres to the concept of preventing nuclear war. This statement was made by the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov after the results of the G20 summit.
“We support preventing nuclear war from happening. Back in Soviet times, we proposed to the United States… Gorbachev and Reagan jointly declared that there could be no winner in a nuclear war and that it should never be unleashed,” said the diplomat said, his speech was broadcast on the Ministry's Foreign Telegraph Channel.
