“I'm not satisfied, I want more”: m0NESY – on winning the ultimate CS2 tournament from BLAST
Russian esports athlete Ilya m0NESY Osipov from G2 Esports talked about his victory at the top tournament BLAST Premier: World Final 2024 in Counter-Strike 2.
G2 Esports ADC admitted that winning the championship in Singapore was not enough for him:
I'm not satisfied, I want more. The last tournament of the year will take place in Shanghai and we will direct all our focus there. Everything will focus on this championship. Obviously, when you win a tournament, you're happy for a while. But the very next day you want more. I don't think a player can always be satisfied. He always wants to win. What I'm talking about is that everyone wants to win the last big prize of the year.
However, the Russian believes that first place at BLAST Premier: World Final 2024 will give his team confidence ahead of the big tournament in China:
This gives us 100% confidence. In the RMR tournament, we still need to stay focused. For this championship, this victory, we should not think that we will defeat everyone. Obviously you're confident, but you shouldn't pay too much attention to that. We haven't discussed our preparations yet, how many days off we'll have, but I'm sure we'll have to practice a lot.
The last CS2 tournament of the year Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will be held in LAN format from November 30 to December 15 in Shanghai, China. As part of the event, 24 teams will compete for a prize fund of $1.25 million.
