Honor X9c launched – the most durable smartphone with 6600 mAh battery for $345

Malaysia hosted the launch of the new Honor X9c smartphone by Chinese company Honor, which is positioned as the brand's most durable smartphone today.

Durability and protection

The Honor X9c tops SGS reliability ratings, withstanding drops from up to 2 meters. It is certified according to the IP65M protection standard, ensuring protection against dust and water jets from any angle (360°). The special “M” rating indicates water resistance, even while driving.

The smartphone body is scratch resistant and has been tested for abrasion by rubbing with steel wool (3000 times). Honor claims that the device will still operate in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 55°C.

Specifications

Honor X9c is equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution (1224 x 2700 pixels), 120 Hz refresh rate and 4000 nits maximum brightness. Adjust the dimming of the electrical pulse controlled at 3840Hz.

The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor with Adreno A710 graphics, up to 12 GB RAM and up to 512 GB internal storage.

The main camera consists of two modules:

108 MP 1/1.67-inch main sensor with optical stabilization (OIS) and 3x optical zoom; 5 MP ultra wide-angle lens.

The main camera supports 4K resolution video recording. On the front there is a 16 MP selfie camera.

Honor X9c is equipped with a 6600 mAh battery with support for fast wired charging with a power of 66 W – this allows up to 26 hours of online video playback. Interfaces include support for 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1,OTG, GPS and USB Type-C port.

The dimensions of the device are 162.8×75.5×7.98 mm, weight – 189 grams. The smartphone runs on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14.

Availability, colors and prices

The Honor X9c is currently available for pre-order in Singapore and ships within a week. The smartphone comes in three colors: Jade Cyan, Titanium Black and Titanium Purple.
