Peru's APEC spokesman Renato Reyes said that as of November, the country had held more than 270 events under its chairmanship, with about 20 more meetings scheduled to take place this week. APEC is a regional intergovernmental forum established in 1989. Its main goal is to strengthen economic integration, expand trade and increase employment in the region.
