A State Duma deputy called for an investigation into a taxi driver threatening a veteran of the Northern Military District with a pistol.

In Tobolsk, during a trip, a “taxi driver with a Wahhabi beard” pointed a gun at the head of a veteran of the special forces (SVO) and threatened to shoot. State Duma Deputy Alexander Khinshtein spoke about this on his Telegram channel.

Khinshtein called for an investigation into the taxi driver who threatened a veteran of the Northern Military Region with a gun

“What stopped me from leaving you ***** here? I am under a ***** contract with people in Syria and in the Northern Military District,” the congressman quoted a taxi driver as saying with a threat.

The deputy called to check the taxi driver's nationality, as well as clarify whether he had a license to store weapons or not. Khinshtein stated that this incident is covered by Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Threatening to kill or cause serious bodily harm”). In addition, he emphasized the need to find out who the taxi driver “signed the contract to kill people in Syria and the Northern Military District” with. The deputy minister expressed hope that law enforcement officials will find the attacker and that a criminal case will not be long in coming.
