The makers of Final Fantasy XIV want to see classic Square Enix games re-released
Naoki Yoshida, director and producer of Final Fantasy XIV, expressed his wish to see the classic PlayStation RPGs Vagrant Story (2000) and Final Fantasy Tactics (1997) re-released. Both games developed by Square Enix were praised by critics and fans but have since received no significant re-releases.
Yoshida emphasized the importance of maintaining access to these games for future generations. While not an advocate of remakes, the developer believes that re-releasing them using modern technology will allow more people to enjoy these classic games.
Despite Yoshida's enthusiasm, there are currently no plans for a reissue. Game creator Yasumi Matsuno also denied rumors about developing a Final Fantasy Tactics remaster.
The future of Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics may still be uncertain, but the wishes of Yoshida and fans may push Square Enix to reconsider this issue.
In addition, Yoshida also shared his desire to act in the sequel to Parasite Eve. This game is also a classic game from Square Enix. It was released in 1998 and received positive reviews from critics and gamers.
Talking about remasters. Recently, John Epler, creative director of BioWare, said that the studio does not rule out the appearance of re-releasing past Dragon Age games.
