To install a mod, you usually need to move its files into a folder DocumentsMy GamesStarfieldDatabut it's better to follow the instructions for each modification. Some require additional steps and special dll files.

Additionally, almost all mods for Starfield require an ini file, which forces the game to load the necessary files instead of the standard ones. You can easily create it yourself; you only need to do it once.

  • go to DocumentsMy GamesStarfieldData.
  • Create a new text document and open it with Notepad.
  • Add the lines below to it.
  • Close the document and rename it StarfieldCustom.ini. Ignore warnings about changing extensions.
