The author of Silent Hill 2 tells us which Russian writers influenced the game's plot
Famous Japanese developer Masahiro Ito continues to reveal the secrets of the Silent Hill series. This time he confessed his love for Russian culture and said one of the Russian writers had a great influence on the plot of the second part of the series:
“The reason I often use Russian in my works is because I studied the works of Russian avant-garde artists when I was in art college, and my great-grandmother was Russian. In addition, Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment by Russian writer Fyodor, was one of the inspirations for the plot of Silent Hill 2.”
In the comments section, many users thanked Masahiro for the wonderful and unusual games. Although of course there are also gamers who accuse the developer of “Russian propaganda” and say that “Russian culture has no right to exist”.
Previously, Bloober Team studio released a remake of Silent Hill 2. The game was loved by both critics and ordinary gamers.
