Tecno introduces the screenless Pocket Go gaming console
Tecno has announced an unusual device – the Pocket Go pocket game console, which does not have a built-in screen.
Unlike competitors like the Steam Deck and Lenovo Legion Go, the new product requires a connection to an external display to operate.
Pocket Go is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor and supports up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 storage.
In addition to the console, you can buy a set with Pocket Vision AR glasses, which simulate a 215-inch diagonal screen at a distance of 6 meters.
The glasses offer FullHD resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate, which can create a noticeable “screen effect”.
The device itself is equipped with a 50 Wh battery, supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and has a USB-C port and 3.5mm audio jack.
Pre-orders for the Pocket Go are now open on Kickstarter and shipping is expected in December 2024.
