Roskomnadzor said whether it will block access to STALKER 2
Roskomnadzor will only restrict access to the game STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl in Russia based on a court decision declaring the information in it prohibited. RIA Novosti reports this.
Let us remind you that STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a shooting game developed by the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World. The video game is scheduled to release on Wednesday, November 20.
“Roskomnadzor restricts access to illegal information on the basis of court decisions declaring information prohibited and decisions of competent authorities. Currently, the ministry has not received such a decision,” Roskomnadzor said in response to a question about the possibility of the game being blocked.
Previously, State Duma Deputy Minister Anton Gorelkin stated that the game is likely to be officially banned in Russia and Russian citizens may face criminal liability for distributing this game. He noted that Western publishers sided with Ukrainian developers, while Russian game developers were locked out of the domestic market.
