GOG launched a free distribution of the Return of the Phantom mission

GOG Store has launched free distribution of the detective mission Return of the Phantom based on the plot of the famous “Phantom of the Opera”.

The user takes on the role of Inspector Raoul Montand, whose mission is to capture the same Phantom – revealing secrets of the past to prevent tragedies in the present.

Initially, the original game appeared in 1993 and one of the authors of the James Bond books, Raymond Benson, was responsible for the script. The story itself represents a “new take” on the well-known plot, as the Phantom suddenly reappears on the scene.

As they progress, players will need to search for clues that will help them find answers to mysteries. Additionally, users will literally travel back in time to explore Opera's catacombs.

The game is fully voiced and the adventure has an atmospheric soundtrack. The GOG giveaway itself will be valid until 16:00 Moscow time on November 3.
