Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches its first season with new maps and modes
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has launched its first season with a lot of different content added to the game.
In particular, users can look forward to three new multiplayer maps – Hideout (6v6), Extraction (6v6) and Heirloom (6v6 and 2v2). Later in the season, they will add the Racket map and bring Hacienda back to Nuketown.
Users can also try out two new modes – Ransack Mode (protect the warehouse) and Party Mode (other modes will appear later in the season). In addition, the shooter will soon add ranked gameplay.
A new mode has also appeared for “Zombies” – we are talking about Directed Mode for the Liberty Falls and Terminus maps. Next in the season, a new map and other new content will be added for the same Zombies.
Additional content has also arrived in Call of Duty: Warzone – the Area 99 map, ranked Battle Royale, Resurgence, Battle Royale and Plunder playlists. In addition, Warzone has integrated BO6 and added an Omnimovement movement system with optimized inventory.
While the sheer size of the season update file has caused outrage online, player demand for the season itself has been impressive.
The peak of Call of Duty online on Steam in the last 24 hours exceeded 232 thousand people, and currently there are more than 108 thousand people participating in the game.
Users responded positively to the technical and gameplay improvements, and praised similar inventory changes and the updated playlist interface in Warzone.
At the same time, players note that they can now easily switch between BO6, Warzone, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023) content within the same Warzone menu.
Some also noted the problems of the season – apparently, for some reason the sounds of footsteps disappeared during the game. As it turned out later, the sound remained for players who subscribed to the audio service for Call of Duty.
Additionally, not everyone likes the new map and there are also complaints about bugs online.
