5 new games on Steam you might have missed
With dozens of games released on Steam every day, it's nearly impossible to keep track of all the releases to find hidden gems. That's why PC Gamer has compiled a selection of 5 games worth playing that you might have missed.
Psychiatric medicine GOLD
Psychopomp GOLD is a unique dungeon exploration game set in a city, where mysterious, creepy catacombs are hidden under every building. The project was initially released as a free game at the beginning of the year, but the paid updated version significantly expands upon the original version. New levels, modes, secrets, endings and mod support. The horror atmosphere is strong, although the content is more surreal horror inspired by anime. If the first Shin Megami Tensei games seemed too “normal” for you, try Psychopomp GOLD.
Fraudulent flight
A stylish on-rails shooter inspired by Starfox and the 1980-1990 anime. To voice the characters, the developers even invited a group of Japanese voice actors who worked on Neon Genesis Evangelion, Naruto, Sailor Moon and many other famous series. In addition to the story campaign, Rogue Flight also offers a roguelite mode where you can unlock dozens of ship skins and different weapons.
“Vasilisa and Baba Yaga”
An impressively stylized adventure based on many of the stories of Vasilisa and Baba Yaga. The plot of the game tells how the heroine has to serve an evil witch: wash mountains of dishes, wander through creepy swamps and, of course, fight with the inhabitants of the dark forest toothpick. Folklore and fairy tale fans should never miss it!
Disillusionment ST
Psychopomp GOLD isn't the strangest release this week. Disillusion ST looks like a possessed demo CD from the 1990s. It's basically a dungeon crawler with elements of card games and point-and-click adventure. If you are an indie connoisseur and remember that a game with a similar name was released in 2021 then you are right. Disillusion ST is a standalone expansion to the original game.
CRIMINAL
STRAFATT is a minimalist duel shooter where you can compete in 1v1 duels on up to 70 unique maps. One user review on Steam calls the game “a cross between Cruelty Squad, Quake, and WarioWare” – a combination you don't see very often.
