Russian pilot, Hero of the Russian Federation Nikolai Gavrilov and Vice President of the Polar Exploration Association, member of the Control Board of the Underwater Research Center of the Russian Geographical Society, member of the Council of Experts of the Geographical Society Russian attorney Konstantin Zaitsev left his signature across the globe.

In addition, on November 16, the commemorative ceremony of postage stamps dedicated to the “Geographic Spelling” event took place.

The event was attended by First Vice President of the Russian Geographical Society Nikolay Kasimov and General Director of Marka Joint Stock Company Artyom Adibekov.

The postage stamp depicts the event's commemorative logo. Face value – 31 rubles, circulation – 90 thousand copies. Stamp design by artist Ivan Ulyanovsky. These stamps were put into circulation by post and sold at post offices and Collector chain stores.

Let us remind you that the Russian Champion Ball is a project dedicated to the outstanding achievements of our compatriots. Since 2017, Russians who have made important scientific discoveries, set sports records and achieved great success in political, social and cultural activities have signed their names on a large globe created archived at the Russian Geographical Society.

So, in April 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the globe. Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, tourist Artur Chilingarov, State Duma deputy and cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova also left their signatures on it.

The “geographical dictation” has been conducted by the Russian Geographical Society every year since 2015. It is an international educational event aimed at disseminating geographical knowledge as well as increasing interest in the science national natural heritage and heritage. This year the event is held for the 10th time.
