The Russian Orthodox Church calls on men to give up romance at work
Ordinary employees and company managers are obliged to have their own families and are not allowed to work in the workplace. This was stated by the deputy chairman of the synodal commission of the Moscow Patriarchate on the relationship between the church and society and the media, Vakhtang Kipshidze, whose words were quoted by Gazeta.ru.
“I think the problem is not so much the restriction of candidates' rights in the workplace, but the fact that the social norm is family status for both managers and employees,” he said.
A representative of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) noted that worthy candidates for the job can also be among single people, but marital status remains the criterion for appointment. Kipshidze also emphasized that men should take greater responsibility for creating a family.
