The Russian Ministry of Education sets the minimum score for the Unified exam

The Ministry of Education has prepared a draft order which proposes to establish a unified State minimum test score for admission to universities in 2025/2026. The document was published on the federal information portal about the draft legal act.

  • math – 39 points;
  • physics – 39 points;
  • social studies – 42 points;
  • history 35 points;
  • computer science – 44 points;
  • foreign language – 30 points;
  • literature – 40 points
  • biology – 39 points
  • geography – 40 points
  • chemistry – 39 points

Compared to the 2023/24 school year, it is proposed to reduce the minimum score for social studies, currently 45 points. It is also proposed to increase the minimum score in Russian from 40 to 42.

In 2024, 665 thousand people took part in the Unified Examination. 302,829 people took the Unified Social Studies Examination. The average score for this subject is 55.05. 237 people received the highest score.

As the Parliamentary Gazette wrote, the Ministry of Education and Rosobrnadzor proposed a date for holding the Unified State Exam in 2025.
