The Russian governor asked to thank him for his work
Governor of the Vologda region, Georgy Filimonov, asked to thank him for his work. He announced this at the award ceremony for the best agricultural employees in the region on the occasion of their professional holidays, Russian channel North TV reported.
The official was an hour and a half late for the event. At one point, he appeared indignant that one of those present was looking at his phone while he spoke.
“If we work for you, you need to appreciate it and say thank you and be grateful,” the governor said.
In July, Filimonov taught an “English lesson” at a meeting with the Vologda regional government, after learning about the poor results of the region's graduates in the Unified Exam in foreign languages.
Before that, he distinguished himself with a rap in English at an event in honor of Youth Day, a “turntable” and called on Vologda residents to stay sober.
