The last head of the Soviet Komsomol, Vladimir Zyukin, died
The last head of the Komsomol Central Committee, Vladimir Zyukin, died at the age of 71. The Mash Telegram channel writes about this with reference to a source close to the businessman.
The source noted that the former first secretary has been seriously ill for a long time and has not appeared in public for a long time.
Journalists explained that Zyukin literally means “declaration of the appearance of Komsomol members in business.” In particular, his call was followed by Sergei Lisovsky, Mikhail Fridman and Boris Berezovsky.
Vladimir Mikhailovich Zyukin was born on May 11, 1954 in the city of Berezniki, Molotov Region (now Perm Territory).
In 1976, he graduated from the Bryansk Transport Technical Institute and received a degree in mechanical engineering.
In December 1987, he became head of the organizing committee of the Komsomol Central Committee. In March 1989, he became 2nd Secretary of the Komsomol Central Executive Committee, and on April 19, 1990 – 1st Secretary.
He organized the XXII Extraordinary Congress of the Komsomol, at which on September 28, 1991 he dissolved the All-Union Komsomol organization and with it, officially ceased to exist as the pan-Pionist organization The union was subordinate to the Komsomol Central Committee.
Since 1992 – Chairman of the International Youth Cooperation Foundation. Head of brokerage firm Creighton Capital, then head of Inpred company.
Since 2003 – Chairman of Pilot Management LLC, owns and leases commercial real estate of the Tessinsky Business Center Business Center in Moscow.
