The Coxsackie virus has reached Moscow and the Moscow region
The SHOT Telegram channel reported that the Coxsackie virus has reached schools and kindergartens in the Moscow and Vladimir regions, as well as the Krasnodar Territory. The children's parents worry that the infection may have been brought by people returning from Türkiye.
According to one of the residents of Vladimir, a child infected with the virus was brought to a group in kindergarten. Then all the three-year-olds started getting sick. As a result, more than 20 children were infected. They suffered from mouth ulcers and rashes on their bodies. Doctors confirmed it was the Coxsackie virus and the symptoms read ARVI.
A resident of Novorossiysk said that her nephew may have contracted the virus at an MMA competition. Many children in the village had blisters on their hands and feet and high fever. Patients with similar symptoms were identified in Moscow. A local resident said her child had a fever of over 39 degrees and a rash that lasted 4 days.
Previously, a Russian woman told NEWS.ru that her colleague's one and a half year old child was diagnosed with the Coxsackie virus. The juvenile's fingernails and toenails have fallen off. The acute phase of the disease lasts up to five days and recovery takes several weeks.
