Tens of thousands of migrants settled in the Tyumen region

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Tyumen region, Alexander Smirnov, said on the Russian TV channel “Region-Tyumen” that since the beginning of 2024, 170 thousand foreigners have entered the region. However, as of November, 36 thousand people were registered with immigration authorities.

This difference is explained by the dynamics of migration processes, including entry into and exit from the region.

Smirnov also noted a positive trend: the number of crimes committed by foreigners has decreased by 15%. He emphasized that each such offense is under the special control of internal affairs officials.
