Soviet singer and actor Shakhlar Guliyev passed away after an illness
On October 26, a month after his 78th birthday, Soviet and Azerbaijani singer and actor People's Artist of Azerbaijan Shahlar Guliyev passed away.
Guliyev was born in 1946. Graduated from the Azerbaijan State Conservatory. Since 1975, he has been a soloist of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
Shahlar Guliyev specializes in the production of national and classic works, taking on the main roles in “Leyla and Majnun”, “Shah Ismail”, “Koroglu”, “Aida”, “Carmen”, “La Boheme”. He toured extensively and frequently performed at government events. The artist's filmography includes, among other things, the projects “Maiden's Tower” and “Lessons in Greatness”.
The cause of death of the people's artist was a serious, long-term illness, IA Report reported, related to the singer's son.
Son – Nofel Shahlaroglu, actor and director.
