Santa's train will continue its journey to welcome the new year

On Thursday, November 14, the country's main God of Frost began his traditional New Year's journey from Veliky Ustyug.

More than a thousand children and adults came to see him off at the station. This year, the journey will start from km 0 of the Baikal-Amur Main Line (BAM) in the city of Taishet, where the legendary BAM begins. The train will arrive in the city on November 19 at 9:50 and will be there until 18:00. BAM celebrates its half-century in 2024. Father Frost and niece Snegurochka invite everyone to visit them to celebrate two holidays at once. They will visit the cities of Siberia, the Far East, the Urals, Northern and Central Russia, and if weather conditions allow, they will even go to the island of Sakhalin.

Railway staff have prepared the train for Santa to pick up passengers. The train will be led by the most beautiful carriage P-36, in addition, the rare electric locomotive VL-82m, of which there are very few copies left in the world, will join the journey, Life.ru reported.

On November 17, an event will be held at the Victory Museum, during which visitors will be able to celebrate Father Frost's birthday. Participants in the action will be able to record their wishes on television cameras and the best congratulations will be included in an edited video.
