Actor Mikhail Efremov will celebrate the New Year in the colony. This was reported by the Mash Telegram channel in connection with the artist's lawyer, Yuri Padalko.

Padalko said that Efremov has almost no chance of being released from the colony on parole before the end of the year. He explained that the artist's representative has not yet submitted a related petition. Currently, certificates are being prepared and collected. The lawyer clarified that this process takes a lot of time.

As the publication notes, the Belgorod IK-4 authorities do not want to release Efremov due to violations of the regime. He has three comments about appearance and habits. Mash added that colonial staff did not notice a serious deterioration in the actor's health.

On October 20, the SHOT Telegram channel stated that the exacerbation of Efremov's medical condition could hasten his release from the colony on parole. There are reports that the actor may also be sent to a government clinic due to the need for a CT scan. Doctors assessed the artist's condition as satisfactory.

On October 17, 2022, SHOT reported that Mikhail Efremov had difficulty breathing and speaking due to exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. This information was confirmed by Efremov's lawyer Yu Padalko. He doesn't share details about his client's health status, because “it wouldn't be completely unethical.”

Previously, human rights activist Merkacheva said that Efremov could now be released on parole.
