In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, they propose to introduce “Sober Friday”
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Krasnoyarsk Territory proposed restricting alcohol sales in the region on Fridays, RIA Novosti reported with reference to documents from the region's press agency.
“In November there will be a coordination meeting with the participation of the governor (of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Mikhail Kotyukov. – RT), dedicated to this issue. I am preparing a report and we will talk about it again,” said the head of the regional department, Alexander Rechitsky.
According to Rechitsky, he put forward a proposal for “sober Fridays” at a meeting of the regional legislative assembly in 2017, but it later fell out of favor.
“Of course, whoever wants it will always find it. But the vast majority will react to this… no, no,” the Minister noted.
Previously it was reported that in the Vologda region, from March 1, 2025, the sale of alcohol on weekdays will be limited to two hours.
