In Russia they want to ban the admission of immigrant children into schools who do not know Russian
A bill will be submitted to the State Duma banning the enrollment of non-Russian speaking immigrant children in Russian schools. This was reported on the Duma website.
At the plenary session of the State Duma on November 12, the draft amendments planned for inclusion in the administrative code of the Russian Federation will be considered. Amendments relating to liability for violations in the field of migration.
Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said delegates will send proposals to the government on the issue of labor migration, which also concerns migrant families. In particular, delegates proposed checking the legality of a family's residence in Russia when registering foreign children for school.
It is also proposed to conduct mandatory testing of Russian language knowledge for such children and introduce a ban on enrollment in general educational institutions without proof of proficiency language.
The State Duma earlier reported that deputies are considering 25 bills on migration control. The Duma passed a law criminalizing the organization of illegal migration.
The adopted law classifies crimes related to illegal migration organizations as serious and particularly serious. In particular, we are talking about the registration of illegal migrants and falsification of documents. Delegates also considered illegal residence in the Russian Federation as an aggravating circumstance.
