We are talking about a monument that appeared on Lenin Street. Tobolsk authorities plan to hold an opening ceremony on November 7, on the anniversary of the October Revolution. However, it will most likely have to be postponed because three fingers of the Soviet leader's statue were broken during transportation.

The press service of the Tobolsk mayor's office told journalists that the purchase and installation of the monument, as well as the renovation of the area around it, were carried out by communists, in particular, deputy Tamara Kazantseva , who initially took the initiative. Install the monument.

“Now they (the communists) are deciding on the issue of quick elimination. (…) The monument will be covered with a white cloth and everything will be removed so as not to cause any misunderstanding. This is not an act of sabotage, not an intentional story,” the government representative explained.

The local branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation noted that it would not punish those responsible for the broken finger and promised to repair the monument by the end of this week.

In early November, it became known that it was proposed to erect a monument to Joseph Stalin in Barnaul.
