Famous cat Kroshik weighing 17 kg passed away

The famous cat Kroshik, whose weight loss process was followed by the whole country, died in Perm. Due to metastasis, he began having breathing problems and the animal could not be saved, Baza reported.

The cat arrived at the shelter obese and practically unable to walk. In August this year, he weighed 17 kg, veterinarians and volunteers developed a special rehabilitation program for him. Not only Russia but also world media wrote about Kroshik.

At last weigh-in, the cat weighed about 14 kg.

The day before, it was reported that Kroshik began choking and had to be urgently hospitalized. Veterinarians discovered that the body had damage to many organs. The animal had a tumor in the spleen and metastases had begun in other organs.
