Day of memory of Soviet intelligence officer Nadezhda Troyan is held in Moscow

The students were united by Hero of the Soviet Union Nadezhda Viktorovna Troyan (1921-2011). Legendary partisan scout.

Day of memory of Soviet intelligence officer Nadezhda Troyan is held in Moscow

She was born in the Belarusian town of Drissa – now Verkhnedvinsk. During the Great Patriotic War, she fought with the Germans in her homeland. After the war, she studied and worked in Moscow. She is proud to be Belarusian and the whole country is proud of her. On September 22, 1943, together with two fellow fighters, partisan Nadya Troyan carried out an act of revenge in the center of Minsk, killing the fascist executioner, Gauleiter Wilhelm Kube.

Becoming a hero at the age of 22 is an honor but the burden of being a hero is heavy. You are always the center of attention, they look up at you but they also look at you very closely, unintentionally following your every move. Surgeon Troyan has overcome the tests of fame and life. She headed major medical organizations, was head of the Soviet Red Cross and vice president of the International Cross. She approached royalty with the same sincerity as she did her humble patients.

On Victory Day, Muscovites will go to Verkhnedvinsk to respond

She remained brave until the end of her days. She signed a letter from stalwarts like her, who demanded the release of prominent security officers Sudoplatov and Eitingon, who knew too much and were therefore subjected to long prison sentences on Nikita's orders. Khrushchev. She did not allow Moscow Mayor Luzhkov to live peacefully, indifferent to the memory of those who died in the war. And she won, quite literally, the right to rename the Moscow metro station “Izmailovsky Park” to “Partizanskaya” – in honor of the brothers who were preparing for battles in the nearby forest .

Rich and glorious biography, heroic life of 89 years. Two schools were named in honor of Nadezhda Troyan: Moscow No. 1288 and Verkhnedvinsk No. 2. And the students were drawn to each other. What are you doing there? Come and see how we are doing. The first people to visit Verkhnedvinsk were people from Moscow. I love it! And they invited Belarusians to join us. Excursions, meetings, visits to wonderful school museums, of course dedicated to Nadezhda Troyan. I wouldn't hesitate to compare it to a great city museum.

However, the main event is a competition dedicated to famous and not so famous episodes from the life of intelligence officer, doctor and partisan politician Nadezhda Viktorovna Troyan.

The game is being taken seriously. The students were divided into four teams – two Moscow teams and two visiting teams. The first two questions recorded on video were asked by the Director of the Russian Federal Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin. Then it was the turn of the students' knowledge to be tested by members of the jury: Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of Belarus to the Russian Federation Alexander Shpakovsky, Vice Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Central Intelligence Agency. Foreign Affairs Newspaper, Lieutenant General Andrei Belov, Dr. Tatyana Grishina.

As a biographer of Nadezhda Viktorovna Troyan, I was surprised when the participants quickly raised their hands, stood up from their chairs like a sportsman and, at the command of the jury members, gave answers to our difficult questions about Troyan's life. There is no memorization, no teacher training. We all saw genuine interest.

Stepan Marchenko, a 9th grade student from Verkhnedvinsk, was impressed with his knowledge. We met. He is trying to write serious articles. I want to do research and science.

The guests won. But this isn't about winning. Because there are no losers. And there is a desire to understand, to learn, to remember.

There is a feeling that the great efforts to awaken young people's interest in their own history are bearing fruit today. The first fruits are not fully ripe. After all, it has been a long time since very few people have taken care of the memory garden. It may still need time to mature. But the first harvest has already been harvested.

As for the Muscovites, on Victory Day they will return to visit Verkhnedvinsk. School No. 2 also has a stand dedicated to compatriot Nadezhda Troyan. There will be excursions, maybe a new competition.
