A Russian pretended to be an Italian to get to Poland
A Russian citizen was arrested while trying to enter Poland with fake documents. This was reported by the country's border agency.
Last week, a 38-year-old Russian was registered at the vehicle checkpoint in Bezledy. He presented an Italian ID card but border guards were skeptical about its authenticity. Using special equipment, it is possible to confirm that the document is fake.
The traveler was detained. During the search, they found a fake Italian driver's license on him. As a result, the Russians were accused of trying to cross the border by deception. The man admitted his guilt and received a fine of 5,000 zlotys (about 120 thousand rubles), then returned to Russia.
At the end of August, a Russian paid 1,800 euros for a fake residence permit in Poland and was arrested at the border. He was fined 3,200 zloty.
